Zugboi

We all cannot marry Cristine Reyes at once or even in our lifetime.
That is the sad fact my friends. Because we cannot just date the sexy girl on TV so we are forced to settle for this thing called reality. Choosing our partner is like going through an array of dishes in the menu. Most of us pick the famous one or the one that people think is beautiful simply because that is what human nature is. In determining who is pretty and who is less pretty, each one of us has our own standards and reasons.
Recently, the buzz of the town is the liempo. A lot of food stands have popped up and a lot more will still spawn. A lot of discussion and argument took place about who has the best liempo in town.
Makes me think, is liempo the new Angel Locsin?
One of the top liempo and roasted chicken restaurants in town is Zugboi. This is a restaurant that has been operating recently and is making noises over the Cebu gastronomic world. You pick your food like how you pick your girlfriend or boyfriend (regardless of the real gender) and you pick them with your standard.
Zugboi's roasted chicken is one of the best chicken I had for a long time. With all the stalls selling roasted chicken, the classic style taste in roasting the chicken is gone. Luckily, Zugboi was able to offer the lost art in roasting chickens. The flavor got into the meat like rain in dry land and the tenderness is perfect! The texture of the meat is as good as having Marian Rivera hold your hand while strolling in Ayala.
Like how we choose our partner, we choose them based on our standards just like the herbs and spices used in their roasted chicken. The flavor is strong but concise and will not mess around the natural flavor of the chicken.
Speaking of strong flavors, be sure to check out Zugboi's sisig. What I love about their sisig is the texture of the meat and the whole dish itself as it is not like most sisigs that have a texture of a mashed potato.
It’s not unusual that just like most people, you come over to Zugboi for their liempo. Zugboi liempo is arguably one of the best in Cebu. As real as you not dating Maja Salvador, the taste of Zugboi's version is way different than the usual ones. The meat is roasted very well and the flavor comes out in all parts of the meat. The uniqueness of Zugboi liempo’s flavor is so legit, you would even dare to file an affidavit to testify to it!
The way it was seasoned is just so fantastic that having a taste is like getting into a new adventure. This dish is one of the heavyweights when it comes to roasted pork. To add to that, as crispy as a new magazine, the liempo’s skin has achieved the skin of the actual lechon. One of the many reasons why Zugboi was able to set the standards is that the flavor of the liempo separates itself from the ordinary.
No matter how you see it, it always go down to one thing: Zugboi makes great liempo.
That my friends, is reality.
